It’s the same laser as in the first video,I just made myself an aluminum casing for it so it actually looks like a laser pointer.
around 75-100 mW I guess, 650 nm wavelength

Laser pointer made from a dvd writer red laser diode and lens from a cheap made in china laser pointer keychain.Raw and unfinished for now, but works fine.Don’t know the power output exactly but it lights the match , YAY!! Oh yea: DANGER, class 3b laser avoid eye exposure!!! Enjoy!

This is my final set-up of the LPC-815 DVD burner laser diode from LG 20x DVD Burner drive. It’s set in an AixiZ housing with a AR coated glass focusing lens. The AixiZ housing, batteries and Power Supply Driver are then housed in a generic plastic project box. This diode is being driven at 386mA.
