can regular DVD burners burn double layer DVDs?
Hi,
can my regular DVD burner burn double layer DVDs? This is an internal DVD burner that came with my PC four years ago.

is the "OPTIARC DVD RW AD-7530A" a Double Layer DL DVD R Media-compatible burner?
i tried to burn a backup disc for my laptop. the sales person told me that i could use a dual layer dvd to burn it in just a single disc, but when i tried doing so, it still asked for another disc…i only needed 4.1 gb of storage and the DVD DL has about 8.5 gb capacity….so i need to know if my burner is DVD DL compatible….
idk if its dl or not and i have the same dvd drive on the laptop im using now. It is my sister computer, so im not really sure, but anyway try using a regular dvd, they are way cheaper especially if you dont need all 8gb, a regular dvd will fit 4.1gb, it may not be dl, thats why it is not noticing that its a large disk.
the problem im having is that i cant find he updated driver for the dvd rw drive. good luck, hope i helped! -George
