I have to choose from the following producers: Asus, LG, Philips, Plextor and Teac. I could really use a little help.

The model doesn’t really matter, but the producer. I’ll take care of the details when I’ll go buy it .
I see i was misunderstood. I frequently use Nero for burning CDs. The questios refers to the HARDWARE producers, not the software ones.

Buy NEC. You will never regret. Coz its originally an Optical medai producer. Or else Asus is also good. Mitsubishi is also perfect
